MULTI-BAND & MULTI-ORBIT ANTENNAS & TERMINALS

2.4m XY GEO-MEO-LEO-HEO Tracking Antennas

AvL’s 2.4m XY antenna is available in a commercial configuration and two configurations for SES O3b mPOWER: standard/Type I and high-power/Type II.

The commercial configuration operates in C, X, Ku or Ka bands and tracks satellites in GEO, MEO, LEO and HEO orbits. The mPOWER certified configurations operate in Ka-band or optional Ku-band, and are optimized for the O3b mPOWER and O3b Classic networks.

All versions of the 2.4m XY antenna operate in pairs as a terminal, provide direct overhead satellite tracking and feature enhanced retrace speeds that are optimized for robust network performance. The antennas assemble in less than 30 minutes and acquire a signal in less than 10 minutes. The standard pack-up for each antenna is seven cases for one band plus a case for each additional band.

The AvL antenna control system is embedded on the antenna with a built-in compass, GPS and tilt compensation. The auto-acquisition controller is ethernet based, modem agnostic, OpenAMIP compliant, up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity, and operates with a web-based user interface that can be used on a phone, laptop or PC. The controller includes a satellite profile management system, a built-in AvL carrier/beacon receiver with an optional rack-mount interface panel or outdoor rated power supply and offers intelligent tracking and multi-orbit capabilities. Power requirements vary by antenna.
