MULTI-BAND & MULTI-ORBIT ANTENNAS & TERMINALS

2.4m XY GEO-MEO-LEO-HEO Tracking Antennas

AvL’s 2.4m XY antenna is available in a commercial configuration and two configurations for SES O3b mPOWER: standard/Type I and high-power/Type II.

The commercial configuration operates in C, X, Ku or Ka bands and tracks satellites in GEO, MEO, LEO and HEO orbits. The mPOWER certified configurations operate in Ka-band or optional Ku-band, and are optimized for the O3b mPOWER and O3b Classic networks.

All versions of the 2.4m XY antenna operate in pairs as a terminal, provide direct overhead satellite tracking and feature enhanced retrace speeds that are optimized for robust network performance. The antennas assemble in less than 30 minutes and acquire a signal in less than 10 minutes. The standard pack-up for each antenna is seven cases for one band plus a case for each additional band.

AvL’s 2470XY is a portable multi‑orbit tracking antenna designed to provide continuous connectivity across dynamic satellite networks. Its XY positioner architecture enables uninterrupted tracking through full hemispherical coverage, while the segmented carbon‑fiber reflector supports rapid deployment, efficient transport, and tool‑less assembly. Available in standard and high‑power configurations and certified for mPOWER applications, the system supports advanced tracking, mobility, and resiliency requirements, including make‑before‑break operations across the constellation.

The Intelligent Terminal Controller (ITC) is a next‑generation embedded control system built on a secure, continuously updated kernel engineered to meet modern cybersecurity demands. Its enhanced processing architecture delivers advanced motion control and superior tracking performance for MEO and LEO constellations, supported by faster decision loops and smarter sensor fusion. An integrated dual‑antenna heading system, along with onboard GPS and attitude sensors, provides high‑precision orientation data that enables more stable and responsive terminal pointing in dynamic environments. A newly designed configurable WebUI, a simplistic JSON API, and elevated compute power together create a flexible, future‑ready control platform optimized for evolving satellite communications.
