For the most demanding

MILITARY SATELLITE COMMUNICATIONS

When it comes to satellite communications, the requirements and stakes are most demanding for military applications. With the core product design focus being on reliability and ease of operation in the most demanding conditions, AvL SATCOM terminals are designed to operate in the worst of the worst.

FOR THE MOST DEMANDING

AvL’s antennas and terminals are preferred among numerous defense agencies, proven by our extensive history of deployment with the U.S. Army and U.S. Marines. No other manufacturer has fielded more military satellite antennas than AvL.

PROVEN IN
THE FIELD

AvL antennas are recognized for their performance, ease of use and flexibility across a broad spectrum of military operations, from vehicle-mounted to quick-deploy flyaway configurations. AvL leads the field in robust antenna solutions that withstand the most rigorous conditions and operational demands.

INNOVATIVE DESIGN AND SUPPORT

U.S. and allied military agencies’ preference for AvL antennas is a testament to AvL’s engineering design — intuitive and easy to operate combined with durability, performance and multi-band and multi-orbit operations – and product support provided by AvL’s customer service experts.

LEADING THE NEXT-GEN & HTS COMMUNICATION

Most conventional military SATCOM systems have operated with commercial networks, for Ku-band in particular. AvL leads the industry in SATCOM terminals for next-generation high-throughput (HTS) military satellite communications, including Xtar (X-band) and the U.S. Army Wideband Global Satellite (WGS) network operating in both X- and Ka-bands.

qualifications & Compliance

AvL antennas operate with nearly all modems and comply with FCC and Intelsat requirements for 2° spacing as well as models for meeting Eutelsat and Asiasat criteria. Most AvL terminals are MIL-810 certified and many are ARSTRAT/USASMDC, Eutelsat, Intelsat, Skynet, Viasat, and SES O3b Classic and mPOWER qualified.
