AvL manufactures a broad range of carbon fiber and engineered composite reflectors, ranging in size from 60cm to 5.0m and designed to operate with nearly any band, including Q. AvL specializes in high-performance, lightweight segmented reflectors for small pack-up and easy assembly. Each reflector is designed, manufactured and tested for high precision, ensuring performance across various applications.

Construction and Reflectivity for Military Applications

AvL reflectors are designed to be rugged and stiff, able to withstand the rigorous demands of military communications. Constructed with carbon fiber and engineered composites, AvL reflectors are durable, rigid and built for longevity, and many are MIL-810 certified as part of a terminal. AvL reflectors are painted with special paint to augment each reflector’s performance, and Ka-ready reflectors have an additional base layer for Ka optimization.

Precision with Laser Measurement

AvL evaluates every reflector manufactured for surface accuracy with an ultra-precise laser tool and tests the signal reflectivity of each reflector to ensure optimal operations for each antenna. This laser measurement capability ensures that AvL antennas are ready for the challenges of Ka-band and higher frequencies.
